Stealing the most beautiful stage of life ” Child labor”
Child labor means the children in any work that deprives them of their childhood wishes, education, dreams, and that is mentally abusive, physically, socially, or morally injurious and harmful. Child labor is an undesirable, unwanted phenomenon. The children should have the right to play, the right to learn, and the right to dream for their bright future.
The main cause of child labor is poverty which compels the parents to send their children for earning money in case of the daily meal. According to researchers, more than 12.5 million children are engaged in labor in Pakistan. According to Reuters, Pakistan’s Labour Force Survey, 2014-15 showed that of those children aged between 10 and 14 years dynamic in child labor, it is stated that 61% were boys and 88% came from rural areas.
Apart from that, the total number of children who are working as labor is 152 million among 64 million girls and 88 million boys in the world, almost one in ten of all children worldwide. Child labor is a curse, which steels the happiness of a kid in Childhood and compels him for being a responsible member of the family by earning.
Besides, the main causes of child labor in Balochistan are low-quality education, lack of job prospects, and lack of progress in the region. Balochistan is such a province whose 38.8 percent of the population is living below the poverty line, with one in four individuals living in high rate poverty. It is very hard to find a job in Balochistan easily. Likely, it is the reason that most of the families get compelled to send their underage innocent children to labor markets. No one denies the fact that Balochistan is the richest province of Pakistan.
But sadly the Baloch children are registered in different workplaces. And our government is not even paying any voice for it. In Balochistan, children with very little age are found as laborers. That seems so heartbreaking. Balochistan is facing a high socioeconomic situation. There are numerous reasons for child labor suppose poverty, a huge family, low literacy, worse economic crises, and an increase in unemployment. A Bunch of the families do not have enough money to provide daily meal expenses and are bothered to pay school fees for their children. Consequently, their children work as their helping hand, and bread work.
Thus, I appeal to the government to give an eye to the education system, provide jobs to reduce unemployment, and have a glance at this matter so that numerous children should not be deprived of their basic rights. Let them bloom. They are flowers whose fragrance is gonna be smelled in the upcoming generation.
