Bollywood’s first mainstream aerial action film ‘Fighter’, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, directed by Siddharth Anand, has made a strong start at the Indian box office, released on the occasion of India’s Republic Day.
The film, after a decent opening day (₹24.60 crores Net Collection) on Thursday, picked up pace on Republic Day holiday on 1st Friday (₹41.20 cr.) on 26th January, seeing a 67% jump in collections.
The film saw a drop a 33% on 3rd day which was Saturday collecting ₹27.60 cr. taking its domestic total to an impressive ₹93.40 cr. with a big Sunday at the Indian box office expected after the positive word of mouth coming into play for the Siddharth Anand directorial.
Coming to the overseas box office figures for ‘Fighter’, the action drama has scored a decent $5.21 million on its 1st 3 day becoming one of Hrithik Roshan’s biggest opener in his acting career.
The film had to face a complete ban in most countries in Middle East, due to its pro-Indian content in cinematic overdose with the ongoing situation in Pakistan in focus, affecting its overseas run.
Despite the mid-week release in international market with its Thursday opening, ‘Fighter’ manage to perform well in overseas with North America and Australia being the best-performing territories.
The film is expected to earn over $7–7.50 million during its four-day extended weekend from overseas.

the press still lies, but not in this deplorable way. when there are published differences between 130 crores and this 153 crores, it is clear that the biggest one is a stupid Indian lie. these differences decrebilize the action and the film in general.
