The Alchemist:- Book Summary
The book “Alchemist” is written by Paulo Coelho who was born in Brazil. He is a brilliant author whose books have all become international bestsellers.
However, he has written various novels among them “The Alchemist” is the masterpiece of his writing. This book is sold over 56 million and translated into 59 languages.
Paulo Coelho has inspired many people through his spiritual stories and novels. “The Alchemist” is the story of a Shepherd boy named ‘Santiago‘. It is all about traveling to find the treasure which is in Pyramid Egypt. Which was the interpretation of his dream.
Moreover, during his journey he discovered a lot of lessons of life and met many attractive people; like the merchant and his daughter, the old king, the crystal shopkeeper, the Alchemist, and Fatima who became his love at first sight.
The boy faced a bundle of obstacles and lost his hopes sometimes. But again an omen realizes his destination. Then he gained the strength to move forward to his real goal and he stepped toward his treasure.
The most important lesson which he got was an attachment with nature. Duration two years of different places he became the known that” Everything is written by one hand and we shall return to the same“.
Thus his fear of losing his life without reaching the pyramid vanished. On the other hand, he got a chance to learn Alchemy from an Alchemist and he helped him a lot to be near to his destiny and made him ease to understand the ‘Language of the World‘.
Finally, he reached the pyramids where some robbers caught him and snatched his gold but told him the treasure which was in his own country Spain. By knowing this he had a unique laugh on his face. Because he had a different experience of life by this journey and the treasure he could find in his motherland.
It motivates the readers to be steadfast with their dreams which anyone wants to achieve.
