Reopen the Pak-Iran border
The border between Pakistan and Iran is the trade and thousands of families surviving on which is bilateral cooperation among both side residents.
In January 2021 prime minister Imran khan chaired a high-level meeting to take strict measures against illegal traders and concluded that the fuel was causing a loss of at least 100 to 150 billion rupees ($650 million to $980 million) per year. And with the crackdown, the Iran-Pakistan border can potentially generate a good amount of revenue.
Miserably, the border is closed for two months despite strikes and violence caused in the duration. Traders trapped at the border effusively suffer from starvation and death as four drivers starve to death at the border while transporting fuel. They were stuck for 10 days and around 12,000 zamyads were trapped on the border with the drivers.
It often allows the traders with border tickets but the rest still suffer standing at the border for weeks with no food and water.
Due to lack of employment and job opportunities people in Balochistan consider it Their livelihood and the border closure can starve them to hunger and it is kind of capturing Their economic rights.
Thus the government is requested to analyze the issue and put some attention to these fuel transporters and border issues that are worsening with each passing day.
