Prabhas-led ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’, directed by Prashanth Neel, is now available for streaming on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada after debuting on the online streaming service 28 days after theatrical release.
‘Salaar’ Starring Prabhas Lands in Top 10 Films on Netflix Globally
The action violent thriller has found a spot in the list of Top 10 most watched films on Netflix in the world on January 22, 2024, according to FlixPatrol, online platform that provides daily VOD charts and streaming ratings worldwide.
‘Salaar’ is the only Indian title in the Netflix global chart that is topped by Netflix original titles like Kevin Hart’s ‘Lift’ at number 1, ‘Sixty Minutes’ at 2, ‘Society of Snow’ at 3, and ‘The Kitchen’ at number 4 for the day.
Trending in 13 countries, the film is number 1 title only in India. The second best position for the film comes from Sri Lanka where the movie is 2nd top streaming title, followed by Bangladesh (at 3), Maldives (at 4) and Mauritius (at 5).
‘Salaar’ is No.1 Film on Netflix in India
The movie has seen an excellent response on Netflix in India and rightly so with the Telugu version trending at No.1, Tamil at No.2, Kannada at No.5, and Malayalam at No.6.
The film is yet to release in the Hindi version on Netflix, a factor that may have affected its overall disappointing response globally.

This action flick, with a maturity rating of 18+, has a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes, starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in the lead.
As per Netflix, the film story is based on, “The fate of a violently contested kingdom hangs on the fraught bond between two friends-turned-foes in this saga of power, bloodshed and betrayal.”
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire was released on Netflix on January 20.
The ‘KGF’ style action-thriller film first released in theatres worldwide on December 22nd, 2023, breaking the record for the highest-grossing opening day for a 2023 Indian film.
After its theatrical run the film became the 4th highest-grossing Indian movie of last year, setting the stage for its 2025 sequel, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.
