It is really heartbreaking to watch how so many tourists died as a consequence of a severe snowstorm in Murree as a result of the poor management from the concerned authorities. People from all over Pakistan had traveled there to experience the beauty of snowflakes.
One thing has become clear: if a country cannot fulfill fundamental requirements for its native tourists, how can it expect to supply essential necessities for the international tourists? As a result of such poor circumstances, foreign tourists would be less inclined to visit Pakistan’s stunning attractions.
Furthermore, the proprietors of hotels in that area charged tourists an exorbitant fee for merely staying for one night. Tourists were charged over 50,000 rupees for staying a single night in hotel rooms.
According to a tourist, who stayed for one night in a hotel and was charged 50,000 rupees, he had no choice but to offer his wife jewelry to the manager as he fell a few thousand short of the asked money. Are these signs of sincere Muslims of an Islamic country?
Aside from that, the individuals who were requested to push the stuck automobiles demanded thousands as well.
It is humbly urged that the federal government take action against the owner of hotels and the concerned authorities in the Murre Valley so that such tragedies do not occur in the future.
