Gwadar’s water crisis
Water is the fundamental need of every human being. Without water, life would not have been possible on Earth. The scarcity of fresh water is a big problem in our province.
Gwadar is one of the famous and developing cities of Balochistan, it is the heart of CPEC because of its economical and strategically important Gwadar Sea port. Unfortunately, in this today’s 21st century, Gwadar is still suffering severely from a shortage of fresh water. Locals are facing much hardships because of water shortage.
Life is hard, especially in the summer season. They have to go far-off places for fresh water. Or they have to pay hefty amounts to tankers for water for daily use. Most people can not afford these extra expenses in this time of high inflation where the prices of things for daily use are already very high.
It is my humble request to concerned authorities to take immediate measures to counter the water crisis, by building dams and water purification plants to purify seawater for daily use.
