‘Anyone But You’, distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, is performing extremely well at the US Box Office as the film continues to grow benefiting from the strong word of mouth.
The A-rated film starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney in the lead roles, had an impressive 3rd weekend, grossing a strong $9.8M, marking a notable 11% increase from the previous weekend at the domestic box office.
This upward trend without expansion or holiday boosts is a remarkable achievement, especially for an R-rated romcom, and also considering the fact the box office was crowded with multiple big releases targeting the Christmas and New Year holiday periods.
With a gross total of $44M in the US at the end this weekend, the movie is on track to go over the $70M mark and finish somewhere between $70-100 million gross, depending on its performance against the upcoming highly-anticipated teen-age musical drama ‘Mean Girls’, releasing on January 12th.
