Cybercrime is an illegal activity that takes place via digital means, like hacking computers, stealing personal information, and blackmailing through digital devices. It is hazardous imminence in the present scenario. Nowadays most people have come across these futile threats which are continued in a wide range of social networking.
Additionally, users of social media have brought the peak of cybercrime by using fake IDs. By using fake IDs, wrong and nasty posts are being publicized with the intention to blackmail others. In the same way, many of them are unleashing threats by hacking IDs which is one of the most expanded cybercrimes.
There are many kinds of cybercrime including Email, the internet, identity fraud, thieving of financial or card payment data, cyber extortion, and many more. These go myriad bourne owing to these intention cases of cybercrimes are skyrocketing. They aim to damage computers for reasons other than profit, which could be political or personal.
Reported cases of cybercrime, especially in the harassment and blackmailing of women have increased sharply in Pakistan in last recent years, in 2018 the rate of inquiries was 2,295, registered cases were 255, and 209 of them were brought in hand and got arrested.
However, it is aching to mention, despite amplifying reported cases of cybercrime, there goes a lack of facilities to bridle this hazardous problem. On the contrary, the mass public is coerced to use applications from the fear of such kinds of action, and ironically these applications are also causing them downside in others by stealing their data illegally.
Meanwhile, in this era of preferment, most people perceive such a defiant highfalutin. This is a hurt aching and doleful reality that, yet people lack cognizant regarding such kind of pitfall lawbreaking. Thus, it is appealed to the government to widespread awareness regarding this kind of serious menace and to establish departments or accessible organizations for the safety of mass people.
