It is important to note that water is the most compulsory element for humans. It is the essence of all life on earth. Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers, and groundwater very often by human activities. It occurs when pollutant particles, chemicals, or substances that make water contaminated are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies. Without enough treatment to get rid of these harmful compounds it causes several diseases some of which are typhoid, cholera, paratyphoid fever, amoebiasis and malaria. Chemicals in the water also have negative effects on our health.
Drinking water is called potable water which is considered safe for humans and animals. The water is used for drinking, cooking, washing, and so on but unfortunately, the chemicals, bacteria, and other pollutants are affecting our drinking water. Water pollution is destroying the lives of living things on the planet. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every individual not to pollute water and save water from harmful chemicals.
