Nia DaCosta, the director of the upcoming Marvel Studio’s superhero film, “The Marvels” recently shared her desire to work with the ‘King of Bollywood’ Shah Rukh Khan in a future Marvel project.
During a recent interview with News18, Nia DaCosta was all praise for the global icon, acknowledging his legendary status as an actor in the cinema’s history.
She stated, “Shah Rukh Khan is kind of a legend, isn’t he? It’s kind of a no-brainer in that sense.”
The interview also touched upon the possibility of casting more actors from the Indian film industry in her next projects, referencing Farhan Akhtar’s powerful cameo appearance in the mini web series, “Ms. Marvel” that premiered last year.
She hinted at the potential for future collaborations with Indian actors and one such collaboration potentially being ‘Jawan’ movie’s lead Shah Rukh Khan.
“The Marvels,” scheduled for release on November 10, 2023, stars Brie Larson, Park Seo-joon, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Teyonah Parris, and Zawe Ashton.
Meanwhile, in the world of Indian cinema, Shah Rukh Khan gears up for his 3rd release of the year with “Dunki” directed by Rajkumar Hirani, set for a Christmas arrival.
Shah Rukh Khan is living one of his best year in terms of box office success with ‘Pathaan’, a Yash Raj Films’ Spy-Universe flick, and ‘Jawan’, a massy action social drama where he collaborated with South Industry’s hitmaker Atlee Kumar, both films collectively minting a near $300m global gross business.
