The Importance of the Museum
The museum is a source of the remaining past and it shows the way ancient people lived and the culture which they have owned. As the historical things are kept in museums and at present, they are identified as the symbol of the past remainder. As we know that the people of the previous era used to travel with many people by big gatherings of camels while in simple words we call it (KARWAAN ) one of the interesting fact about their journey is that whenever they met with dark nights, so they used to sit beside of a camp-fire and one of the experts from the gathering used to sing the traditional song while other listen to that song, sometimes they answered in a singing manner as well, from this corporation we come to know that they were the people with loving surroundings. But, neither today the world is relying on camel services nor following the culture in the way that it deserves because it has been varied and the new generation is adopting the foreign culture, so in this regard, the museums can play a key role to have the youths sure about their own culture. However, in the coming days, the world is expected to be in the hands of a new generation, and to strengthen them along with culture they must be made aware of their past. Additionally, the residents of Hub, Balochistan belong to different kinds of cultures such as Balochi, Sindhi and Pashtun. Unfortunately, these cultures are being replaced into foreigners morally and fashionably due to non-awareness campaigns among these tribes about their proudful cultures.
The Hub City is the fourth largest city of Balochistan while industrially if we look at it, then it ranks as the second industrial city of Balochistan. However, in an unfortunate manner, it’s being said that this city lacks a museum where the people of all ages can come to know about the following facts, the actual celebration of culture, the actual meaning of love, the state of living in brotherhood and the education that they get from museums. The points identified above are the basic requisites of any culture to be followed, but unfortunately, there is a lack of followers because without guidance on cultures and inaccessibility of museums the people of today are entirely unaware.
Culture is the representative of a nation through dressing, communication, behavior, music and the way of a brotherhood of people. Meanwhile, every nation owns a different culture and for the celebration of the culture people have ordained a specific date and that date might have been selected on the basis of any kind of special event on which the nations celebrate their cultures. Conventionally, the source of culture is to make everyone aware of the actual living standards of any nation, so therefore this system of celebration is being followed for ages so to have everyone known of their cultures that they are the people who must dress, communicate, live in brotherhood and behave regarding the principles which their culture provides. But unfortunately, the cultures of some proudful nations are being celebrated in an unusual way, such as; in recent days the women explain the culture with a bare head plus dressed in fix-cloth and in other areas of culture the sign of brotherhood is now truncated into separation. And before ages, the people used to give great respect to the women (especially in the Baloch nation) because the Baloch culture belongs to those people who used to replace their head in the name of respect, but today it’s no more as usual as it was.
On the other hand, the Hub, Lasbela holds some original facts of love which tell us about the actuality of love and how the love is performed such as Sassi and Puno did it. Basically, they were two lovers and were about to get married but due to favoritism, they were made separate. As far as the power of actual love made them win a prized spot as Sassi and Puno both went in search of each other, as result today an area got popularity on their name which is also located in the center of Hub, Lasbela. Unfortunately, our youths are unaware of such facts in high numbers and this obviously means that the history of Hub, Lasbela is not kept safe. Academically or socially, the new generations need awareness about the past and such information could only be given through museums.
As we all know that the museums are the places where historical things are kept in their concrete version and can teach good lessons regarding education, economic development, legendary information, the teaching of weather temperature and so on. Because, when the words lose their potential of narrating something especially, so the art galleries and paintings come forward and they give good lessons to the people such as, in 2009, Brazilian artist Nele Azevedo created an installation art called melting men, she created various ice-sculpture and placed them in a sitting position on steps in a square in Berlin and they began melting, soon the audience could only see a puddle of water. However, Nele Azevedo’s creation was just an art presented to the people, but the lesson which Nele Azevedo’s installation art taught to the world was that due to high temperature the ice-caps are melting in the same way.
Finally, the Hub, Balochistan demands a museum to have the majority of people educated which it holds on its chest. Because through museums the students will accumulate good data and will come to understand the world from the beginning till now and in this case, I wish my request to emerge on the thresholds of all concerns for its fulfillment. But I felt hesitant while writing this article because we’re the citizens of that rich Balochistan, who every morning before breakfast, have to check the conduits of water that there is any water to drink or not and for us, the desire of museums is a sort of evil.
