The Hunger Virus
Pakistan is a new victim of the hunger virus after the Coronavirus. Due to lockdown, multiple labourers and small businesses are facing several problems. They are unable to cover their two meals a day. The country bears the pressure of refugees along with the millions of citizens, most of whom work as labourers in various parts of the country. Only Karachi is home to more than 0.3 million Afghan refugees, most of whom are labourers or own small shops. During the Covid-19, most of the markets were forced to a lockdown and these people are becoming the victims of the hunger virus. Additionally, it is revealed that globally 122 million more people could be pushed to the brink of starvation, and by the end of the year, 12,000 people per day could die from hunger virus linked to Covid-19. So, it is a dire menace in Pakistan, the government of Pakistan should move towards alternatives to save the working class of Pakistan. The hunger virus should be eradicated soon from Pakistan or otherwise, it can trigger many other issues in the country too.
