Students’ dilemma
Whenever one hears the name of Balochistan, his mind diverts towards its natural resources. Nevertheless, only a few people have the real picture behind the scenes that how the people are surviving in the mineral-rich province of Balochistan. It is claimed to be the place which has a great number of natural gems, but yet its people are not facilitated with even a proper school building. However, the establishment of colleges or universities would be something more to demand. Following such numerous stories, it is the pathetic story of Kapkapar middle school (a small village in Dasht, district Kech) where more than four hundred students are deprived of school a building and are compelled to study in an open sky. One can only imagine the sufferings of these students who sit in an open area in the extreme weather conditions. An image shared by one of my friends can explain al the miseries in which students are sitting in the open sky. In addition, a shortage of teachers is another dilemma for miserable students. Despite the fact that an estimated two and a half million tenders have been passed in 2019 for constructing kapkapar middle school, unfortunately, yet no work has been initiated.
It is my plea to the Balochistan government to take charge of this matter and initiate the establishment of the school as soon as possible.
