Tehsil Turbat, with a population of 417,898, is the second-largest city in Balochistan. There was not a single library in Turbat, even though every third person understands that this is the most basic right of every citizen.
After a massive effort in the form of letters and articles published in the print media, the government was finally compelled to construct a public library for students at the University of Turbat’s Law Department.
A library with no air cooler in Turbat’s fire weather, but the students were unconcerned about how hot it was; in fact, it was the hottest weather in Turbat’s history, but they were super excited to join and study because most of them had never heard of it before.
Students who could not afford to travel to Quetta for academic or self-study purposes were in heaven at the Turbat Public Library.
After only a few months, they closed the Library, which was a big threat to hundreds of incoming students. Now the questions are, Is the government unable to bear the cost of this library?
Finally, I would like to request that the administrative authorities open the Library and allow the future of Balochistan to flourish.
