Protecting the Environment is Our Duty
It is a well-acknowledged reality that this beautiful universe is created by the Almighty Allah. There is a heart-warming thought behind the beginning of it all. Everything in life is transitory, and nothing goes on forever. So everything that exists in nature is vital to maintaining the Earth’s and its ecosystem’s equilibrium.
But it’s unfortunate to mention that we humans, for our part, have been knowingly destroying the natural ecosystem and living habitat of many organisms and species by activities like burning fossil fuels, deforestation, pollution, and even making the water system undrinkable by throwing waste in oceans and rivers even after being fully aware of the consequences and dangers of doing so.
Furthermore, the burning of fossil fuels, vehicle exhausts, etc, can have a direct impact on the air quality, and pollution-causing agents can emit harmful substances and chemicals into the atmosphere, resulting in global warming, ozone layer depletion, as well as the introduction of different diseases. No one else but we humans are to blame for ruining the environment by erecting new industries, factories, building megacities, cutting down forests, using up natural resources in abundance, building infrastructures through rainforest ecosystems, all of which are causing significant irreversible damage to the nature’s ecology.
It is a simple appeal that we all should respect and protect the environment and stop deforestation, begin reforestation, use the appropriate area for factories, cut down carbon emissions, ban plastic, make recycling more practicable, and do not throw waste materials into water bodies. It is our responsibility to safeguard our environmental reserves so that we may lead a good and prosperous life and give our future generations a real chance too.
