Drug addiction is a major issue in our country that is only becoming worse. the incalculable number of drug-addicted people is increasing at a rapid pace. the majority of the illegal substances come from neighboring countries. Millions of individuals are addicted to narcotics, including children and women. The rising numbers are concerning, yet the government’s response to the problem is minimal. Cocaine, crack cocaine, caffeine, cannabis, and alcohol are some of the most readily available drugs in our country.
People who are hooked to drugs feel drowsy, lose control, and crave it more and more. They will undoubtedly experience extreme anguish. Brain injury and internal organ damage are typical in them. For the sake of drugs, those people may engage in illegal crimes such as robbery, murder, and deception against themselves and their family members. It is commonly stated that drug addiction is a neurological condition rather than a behavioral issue among addicts.
Furthermore, the younger generation in Pakistan is at high risk of drug addiction, and is used in significant amounts among students of academic institutions due to its availability throughout the country. It is sad to observe the state of youth in relation to drugs. As a result, the use of numerous substances in youth is widespread in all communities.
To summarize my points, drugs lead to nothing but death and mental and bodily diseases. I request that the concerned authorities evaluate the situation of persons affected by drugs and take strong action against those involved in the sale and transportation of drugs throughout the country, in order to make the drugs activity illegal and our country Pakistan a drug-free country.
