Ozone Layer Depletion
The ozone layer is the layer that surrounds the earth’s surface. This layer shields us from 99 percent of the sun’s UV radiation, which is detrimental to all life on Earth. However, the Ozone layer is becoming thinner as a result of the utilization and emissions of various hazardous gases.
The most damaging ozone gases are chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) that are used in air conditioners and refrigerators. This is causing global warming and a variety of diseases such as skin cancers and other skin issues, eye diseases, and immune deficiency disorders.
It is our obligation to avoid utilizing many of the substances that deplete the ozone layer. Industrial waste management rules must be properly enforced to avoid high-sensitivity solar radiation reaching the life on the Earth by protecting the Ozone layer.
