There once lived a mother and her child “Najeeb.” So, Najeeb was her mother’s only son, and Najeeb’s father died before his birth. His mother worked in the house to raise and educate her son, never making him feel like a child without a father’s love. Her mother fulfilled all of his imaginable demands and never said the word “No” to him because he was his mother’s only child.
Their lives were going alright, if not well, but fortune was not always on their side.
On an ordinary day, Najeeb was involved in an accident and lost one of his eyes. The poor mother was terrified of losing his son’s one eye. The poor mother was always concerned about Najeeb’s future, and she eventually decided to donate her eyes to her son because she had lived most of her life, but her son was too young to suffer a difficult existence.
Finally, she gave her eye, proving that she is the best of the lot.
Najeeb’s long time of struggle and hard work paid off when he became the commissioner of the area, but he was embarrassed to have his mother with one eye in front of his colleagues. She was a representation of Najeeb’s personality. So he decided to marry a girl and abandon his mother for good. Najeeb had not known about his mother’s sacrifices since he was a child when his mother donated her eye to him, and his mother had never dared to tell him the secret.
Najeeb was living the high life, while his destitute mother was living in deplorable circumstances.
Najeeb’s mother did not want to reveal her sacrifice to her son, but she was in such a bad state that she felt obligated to write him a letter in which she communicated her sacrifices. When Najeeb received the letter, he sobbed a lot and decided to return to his mother, but it was too late, and he learned of his mother’s death at the same time.
Moral of the story: never underestimate your mother’s sacrifices; she is the real hero of life.
