Print media and electronic media are two different forms of media. In print media, we have newspapers, magazines, journals, etc. In electronic media, there is Radio, Television, and Internet. Media is not only used for the flow of information, but it is also a source of entertainment for people.

However, with the evolution of digital technology, the role and significance of media rapidly increased in our lives. In this modern era, media is playing a significant role in people’s life. It has become a big source of education, knowledge, and information. Media has the supreme potential to educate, inform, and shape minds of people.
One of the most common issues associated with media is the overuse of the mediums of media by which this new generation is most affected of. Young people try to imitate the acts and stunts done by professionals online, risking their own lives. According to estimates of last year, more than 20000 people died while trying to recreate videos famous on social media.
Media is beneficial for those who know how to utilize it in the best way. Media is an influential medium capable of structuring people’s daily lives and routines. This is mainly because people have a tendency to do what they see and believe. However, with the excess information available in media, sometimes unauthentic and fake information is also passed on impacting people and society at large.
Media is also used to propagate violence, crimes, fake news, and certain political ideas. Politicians tend to manipulate information for their own benefit. This is against the true essence of journalism and gives a wrong message to society. There are multiple media houses that show vulgarism, violence, abuses, and fake acts in the name of entertainment and thus negatively affecting the human morals and religious beliefs of society. People need to be aware of the fact that they need to take certain measures and control to not allow media to negatively affect their lives.
