So, there is a section of Marvel fans that can’t stop about a possible ‘Logan 2’ movie with Hugh Jackman, after ‘Logan’, released in 2017, became a huge hit at the box office as well got immense love from the critics.
The fans keep on wondering if there’s a ever a sequel coming out in 2024 or beyond. There’s a even a fan-made trailer on YouTube that got everyone buzzing for a sec.
The intriguing trailer suggests that Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman in the X-Men world, might meet Doctor Strange from the Avengers world.
The trailer even shows important roles for Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool.
Back in 2017, after the first Logan movie, the director, James Mangold, had mentioned the idea of a ‘Logan 2’ or a spin-off about X-23. But in 2019, he said it wasn’t happening in near future, but a spin-off may come, and Marvel was figuring out what to do with Wolverine in the future. An entry into the Deadpool world?
Although the trailer is quite well edited, it’s not real by any chance whatsoever made with already available footage of superhero films.
And to the disappointment of the ‘Logan’ fans, there’s no official plan for ‘Logan 2’ from Marvel Studios right now.
But they shouldn’t worry much because ‘Hugh Jackman’, one of the most loved character-portrayer from the Marvel comics, is returning as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, one of the most anticipated movie of year 2024, and the quirky fun bit part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
There are speculations among the fans that this might be his last time playing Wolverine, and there are also rumors about him appearing in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. We can just hope if there is no ‘Logan 2’, we can at least keep seeing ‘Hugh Jackman’s ‘Wolverine’ in future Marvel projects.
So, while Logan 2 might not be happening, there’s still a lot of excitement for Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’, which is, by the way, the only Marvel movie slated for a theatrical release this year for the time being, coming to theatres worldwide on July 26.
