‘The Beekeeper’, an original action film directed by David Ayer and starring Jason Statham in his favorite role of the action hero, exceeded expectations and industry projection at the US box office during the MLK 4-day holiday weekend.
The movie’s 3-day opening weekend brought in $16.8 million in the domestic market. With only the opening numbers, the actioner now has gone past the entire $16.7 million US run of Statham’s 2023 box office dud “Expend4bles” in just three days. Additionally, the $16.8 million opening is more than double the $8.0 million opening of “Expend4bles.”
Helmed by Amazon MGM Studio, the R-rated ‘The Beekeeper’ received a favorable B+ score on CinemaScore.
