Hub City is well known for being the centre of industries in Pakistan. Recently, the Hub Bridge, constructed in 1972 and intended to last 20 years, has collapsed due to heavy rains. Though supposed to be rebuilt in 1992, engineers declared the bridge to be fit.
However, it has been in a very perilous condition for many years, making its destruction inevitable. The responsible authorities have been neglecting this issue until the bridge finally broke.
Moreover, a temporary path has been constructed underneath the bridge, making it difficult for residents of Balochistan to access it.
Travellers using this path experience various problems, such as the pain of patients increasing, students travelling to other cities for education developing allergies and traffic jams becoming a daily routine. Unfortunately, the traffic police are unable to perform their duties.
It is of utmost importance that the government of Balochistan take immediate action to rectify this situation.
