Gwadar Suffers from water deficiency
It shatters the heart to rationalize that a beautiful place like Balochistan is also the center of prosperous projects like CPEC. Unfortunately, suffers from a water crisis and yet no actions have been taken for this massive issue. civilians are helpless without water. Balochistan lacks dams and already constructed dams have little water which is insufficient for the civilians.
Currently, Gwadar, the CPEC city also known as the game-changer for Pakistan is going through a water deficiency which has brought up a tough situation for the local citizens. According to the civilians, for several days they have not acquired water. Recently, they held a rally on paddi zir, Sayad Zahoor Shah Hashmi chock at Jinnah avenue road against the local government for the water crisis and the road was blocked for all kinds of traffic.
For instance, in Gwadar residents are suffering from a lack of water even for drinking and other domestic usage that is surprising to see the life-essential part water is not available in the so-called future Dubai. A single tank of water costs 3000 to 4000 that Every citizen can’t pay money for the water as there exists a large poor population in Gwadar. So they are making harsh decisions whether to manage meals or buy water. It is unbearable to say that marine drive was focused, CPEC is under construction but the most obligatory thing for life is water but it is not available for the people of that land.
To encapsulate, the government should solve the problem and build more dams to fight water scarcity or construct water purification plants.
