Great Expectations Book Review
Recently, I read a fascinating book which is written by a well-known England author, Charles Dickens. He was born in Landport, Hampshire, England in 1812. This book was published in New York, printed in Shanghai, China, in April 2010. Charles Dickens died in Chatham, Kent, England, in 1870.
Great Expectations is that the story of Pip, an orphan boy adopted by a blacksmiths family, who has good luck and great expectation, then loses both his luck and his expectation. Through the rise and fall. However, Pip learns the way to find happiness in life. He passed his life along with his sister and Mr Joe, who was a kind man. Pip was born with great expectations or emotion of trust.
He went to school with great expectations.
Additionally, in school he met Miss Havisham and Miss Havisham, who invited him to her house for playing cards. Likewise, in the crack of the dawn, he went to her home. Accidentally a beautiful and pretty girl opened the door. He went inside the house. The house was very beautiful and they both went to Miss Havisham’s room and the boy and the girl who was Estella they both started playing cards. After this, Pip and Estella finished the game and they were coming out of the room they were sharing about their teenage life. They kissed each other and Estella fell in love with the boy. Likewise, the upcoming Wednesday he visited her house and she showed her gloomy room and therefore the boy was very jolly along with her. It was the moment Estella turned her face. “Am I pretty?” she asked the boy. “Yes, you are so pretty,” the boy replied. She slapped his face and she said, “You are poor and a little animal how would I love you? I will never cry for you again but I used to be crying inside.” The boy said, “Before some days his sister passed away”. Many years ago, the boy worked in London. Suddenly, the boy came to his house and saw Biddy, who had married Joe and that they had one daughter and one son. Biddy told the story of Estella that she married a rich person, namely Drummer. After some years of marriage, her husband treated her cruelly and Drummer died some years later. After that morning, he went to her house and she was sitting and she saw him, she was so happy and after this, they would never again be a part.
This is a great book which is written in a simple language and I learned many things from this heart-touching book. I love to suggest everyone read this great book of expectations.
