Early and Forced Child Marriages In Pakistan
I’d like to draw the government’s attention to a sensitive issue: early marriage. Early marriage is one of the worst issues currently in Pakistan, where children are forced to marry between the ages of 12 and 14 or even younger. Most of their parents believe that their children are a burden to them, which is why they force them to marry, but it is a painful thing for young girls who can’t bear pregnancy at such tender ages.
Furthermore, early marriages result in early pregnancies, leading to severe issues for the girls. Second, child marriage is motivated by poverty and has numerous negative effects on girls’ health, including an increased risk of sexually transmitted diseases, cervical cancer, and death during childbirth.
It is my urge to the government to eliminate this intolerable issue from the country and save the lives of the children.
