Crisis of Education in Balochistan
Balochistan is the biggest province of Pakistan by land area. It is facing several problems such as poverty, illiteracy, lack of hospitals etc. If we talk about the education system of Balochistan then we will be very disappointed. Balochistan is full of natural resources, however, it is facing education problems menacing.
According to reports, the literacy rate in Balochistan is 39 per cent. The rural areas of Balochistan are suffering from fatal diseases, in some villages, there are primary schools but students can not find their teachers. Teachers are absent and don’t go to their schools, and they are collecting salaries from the government. The education system of Balochistan is totally demolished because there are some people who are not willing to bring changes to the education system.
According to reports, there are more than 9247 governmental schools in Balochistan, which have no facility of water, while 9838 schools do not have toilet facilities.
It’s very hard to adjust here in Balochistan, more than 1.9 million children including 927542 males and 984128 females are out of school and they are of school age.
Furthermore, only 1.1 million children are getting primary education. After their matriculation, they left their study because of poorness and other problems.
It’s my humble request to the federal and provincial government to take it seriously and make ways for students to receive their education properly and make their country proud.
