An untold story of an area of Balochistan
Balochistan is considered one of the provinces which has beautiful and unseen areas like Zamuran. I am really happy that I belong to zamuran. It is a beautiful unseen area of Balochistan which is on Iran border. By area, it is very large consisting of multiple towns and villages with beautiful and interesting places. Including Dastok, Nalonj, Nagh and many other places which are situated in this area. It is blessed by many blessings of Allah the Almighty, such as water, cold weather, a rainy area and many more.
For such a beautiful area, it really hurts me to say that from 1947 till 2020, there is not any road or electricity which are among the basic needs of every citizen. However, the people around here lack these basic needs since the establishment of Pakistan. It takes more than five hours travelling to Turbat which is the biggest city of Makran division and the second largest city of Balochistan. Moreover, imagine how hard it is for pregnant women to travel to Turbat city for their treatments because there are no hospitals in Zamuran. While mothers give birth to their child, many times they lose their lives due to the deficiency of hospitals, doctors and other facilities. It’s such a remotely located poor area where people everyday drink hot water in summer which is harmful to health.
Unfortunately, the people of Zamuran are jobless and ninety-five percent of children are uneducated due to unavailability of proper schools. The residents are thankful to the government for providing schools but these schools are just buildings, there is no teacher. I suggest the government that the DEO of Zamuran and other educational authorities are not making any checks and balances. It is the reason that teachers are absent. So, the government should take some strict actions against the absent teachers of these schools in order to educate the children of Zamuran in a standard platform.
Additionally, if we talk about other facilities like electricity and roads which are one of the basic needs of everyone. As I said before, Zamuran has suffered since 1947 till today it really makes me ashamed to say that more than seventy years have passed but still roads and electricity is not available to facilitate the people.
However, these are the words of every individual’s hearts because they care about the future of their children. Thus, the careless attention of the government of Balochistan is destroying the career of our children. It hurts that until today no ministers have visited this area for development.
Recently, I had an interview with a resident of Zamuran. I asked him,” how do you define the beauty of Zamuran and what are its basic needs?”
He replied,” I am unable to describe its beauty because it has many attractive places which turn every mind towards it. And our fundamental needs are electricity, roads, hospitals, schools and colleges. When these needs are provided then we see a bright future on the faces of our children.”
While asking another old man of Zamuran that if the government fulfills all needs of Zamuran what results will the government get?
He gently responded, “The natural beauty of Zamuran is enough to give everything in response. Simply I would like to say that by its attractive natural beauty the people come to visit here. And introducing the tourism department in Zamuran gives much to the government .”
At last, the people of Zamuran are very much hospitable, uneducated but ethical. Unfortunately, the pain and uncomfortable time they are tolerating is too much difficult. Now, it is high time to provide basic needs in order to help them to live good lives.
