It is well known that Pakistan has failed to eradicate polio. Polio was a global problem a few years ago. Except for three countries, including Pakistan, the rest of the world is currently free of this lethal virus.
In addition, the country’s leaders have taken baby steps toward eradicating this virus. This virus is still active in Pakistan. Previous governments tried their hardest to eradicate the polio virus from Pakistan but were unsuccessful for a variety of reasons. Even so, those previous steps were insufficient to eradicate the polio virus. It has a wide-ranging impact on the country.
This issue requires immediate attention, and the next generation will be saved from this deadly disease thanks to the government’s seriousness and strong actions.
The reasons for Pakistan’s failure to eliminate the Polio Virus
It is self-evident that every problem has a root cause. The lack of serious government action on this issue is the primary reason that the virus continues to exist in the country. It appears that the current government is unwilling to eradicate polio from the country.
Second, one of the polio control measures is religious misinterpretations. Many mullahs mislead people into not vaccinating their children against polio, saying it contains material that destroys fertility. This vaccination is considered un-Islamic by them.
Third, illiteracy is a barrier to exterminating the polio virus. People in the land of pure people are less educated, and Pakistan has a very low illiteracy rate, so people are unaware of the consequences of this virus, and thus illiteracy stands in the way of vaccinations.
Fourth, because social media has a limited exploratory role, the media is not contributing to the complete elimination of the polio virus.
Fifth, as a result of the country’s judicial system, the polio virus is on the rise. Polio workers are being killed, but their killers are not being brought to justice. The country’s law and order situation is non-existent, and people are afraid to work as polio workers as a result.
In short, concerned authorities are humbly requested to take immediate action regarding this long-lasting virus, which must be annihilated as soon as possible.
