Eckhart Tolle is a German author. He was born in Germany on February 16, 1948. “The Power of Now” is entirely dependent on one’s consciousness and the ability to use it.
You are who you are, according to the author; it’s a little difficult to understand, but when you think about it deeply, it’s so simple. You are obviously who you are. You are not your circumstances, nor are you your job description. You are not your body, nor are you your home.
In reality, you are the one who is in the back conscious and fortunate to be silent, close your eyes, and deeply see and feel everything around you. Like your pictures, how your clothes are whether they fit your body or not, the temperature in your room, and just breathing, just exist. In the present situation, one is always focused on the circumstances.
“I hate my life,” is all that is usually said. And when one says so, it means you and I are two. As stated by the author in the book, “I” is you, and “myself” is your identification with your ego. You are not your body; rather, you are the portal to your life. Obviously, you are perplexed, but you will understand sooner rather than later. Simply feel and see everything deeply.
Simply concentrate on the things’ presence and existence. Remove all other annihilations from your mind. And believe that this is always the best and most perfect moment. Not because you have everything, but because you are blessed to live it. As a result, it is ideal. It’s perfect because whatever it is, it is, so accept it and believe it’s the best time for one.
Time is a useful tool, but it can also distract us from the reality of the present. As the author stated, it is acceptable to keep track of time and measures in order to live in the modern world. However, this should be done when one is alone with oneself. When it is inappropriate to think about thee or the past.
One should learn to live in the present moment and people are always struck by their past experiences or future thoughts.
They are lit in the present moment, just as the sun’s light spreads on or to different directions. And when someone believes that something should go in one direction and it does not, it appears to be a failure.
The same person should consider his consciousness. Everyone’s consciousness is derived from the same source, but we ignore this and forget who we were or are now. And can you imagine how free one’s mind would be if one didn’t have to choose? As if your consciousness sees anything, ugly or beautiful, but your consciousness transforms it into the most beautiful one. Later in life, life becomes easier and more enjoyable.
“When you see everything by this pattern, you will be like you have removed a cover from your eyes and you will feel each thing,” is the book’s most important line.
You notice new colors and find the world to be more vibrant and beautiful. Their egos transform it into a pure source. In reality, ego is the cloth with which we cover our eyes. When it is removed, one can see the true beauty of the universe.
And one can have fun in life. We should clear our minds so that we can understand each thing in greater detail, and always remember that the truth is always in the present.
This book is ideal for anyone suffering from depression or anxiety. Because the book clearly contains all of these notions. All one will ever have is the present moment and acceptance of what it is.
