The future of Balochistan
Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Turbat which is a developing city of Balochistan. The purpose of his visit was to announce a special package for the remote areas of Turbat. It is not the first PM visiting these areas of Balochistan. However, previous prime ministers including Mian Nawaz Sharif visited Balochistan for an ambition and Benazir Bhutto visited Gwadar to catch a glimpse on the circumstances then promises were kept to develop the cities, but all went in vain.
As a result, children are deprived of education and poverty has forced them to labor to earn for a living. Approximately 2.4 million children in Balochistan are involved in child labouring because of several domestic financial problems. Unfortunately, the visit of prime ministers did not project the reduction of child labour. Neither the Federal Government nor the Provincial Government has shown further interests in preventing child labor.
It displays a gloomy picture of the province. After all, the Provincial Government is responsible to save the future of these labor children who are the bright future of Balochistan.
