The Farmer and His Two Sons
A poor farmer had two sons. The farmer was too kind and honest with others, but the villagers always made fun of him while he visited his field.
His two sons named Zareef and Shoukat, Shoukat is the younger son and Zareef is the elder. Zareef and shoukat are studying in a college where every day the classmates make fun of them and say you both are son of a farmer how could you get the jobs in future and nowadays poor people won’t be able to get jobs because of corruption, the talent will be ignored. Zareef replied, “If someone has talent he can change all the world by knowledge and talent”.
Whenever they came to college, boys started making fun of them. They replied we will become something in the future and our dreams will come true inshallah.
One day the farmer was going to Bazar on his donkey to buy grass to earn some money for his sons. The villagers saw him and laughed at him and made fun of him. The farmer didn’t look towards them and said to himself, “one day will come when you will all come to me to ask for forgiveness of the mistakes we have committed”.
After that Zareef and Shoukat had completed their studies, and they were going to apply for jobs. One day Shoukat and Zareef were going to appear in the MBBS test.
After ten days the result was declared and they went to see their result. After knowing their result, they became happy because they had topped. They surprised their father with their good results. After being aware of their top positions, the father kissed his sons and started to shed tears from happiness.
The farmer became the richest person in the village. So, the villagers came to see him and asked for forgiveness and also confessed their past mistakes. The villagers knew they had misjudged the farmer and had learned a good lesson. We must learn from our elders and we must respect them as well.
It is well-said that, give respect and take respect, therefore we must respect everyone.
