Prevalence of Heart Diseases in Pakistan
Everyone knows that the heart is the size of a first and has the single most powerful music in the body. Nevertheless, cardiovascular diseases has now become one of the leading causes of death. Even so, despite being impressive and strong, the heart can become vulnerable to disease due to a variety of unhealthy habits such as smoking, eating an unhealthy diet, stress, and so on.
Statistics have risen alarmingly over the last decade. According to a Pakistani report, more than 40 people die every hour as a result of heart failure and cardiac arrest.
According to the World Health Organization, the majority of Pakistanis do not engage in physical activities that contribute to a healthy and prosperous lifestyle. Heart attacks and other ailments are on the rise in the population as a result of the lack of these activities. Heart disease is more treatable. Controlling such key risk factors can lower an individual’s CVD risk.
Certain risk factors, such as a family history of CVD, age, gender, and so on, cannot be changed. People with such a history must take extra precautions to reduce their chances of developing heart disease. Certain types of heart disease, such as heart defects, are unavoidable. However, you can help prevent many other types of heart disease by making the following lifestyle changes: exercise at least 30 minutes a day on most days of the week, eat a diet low in salt and saturated fat, maintain a healthy weight, reduce and manage stress, and practice good hygiene.
