Omicron-Fuelled Covid-19 Surge in Pakistan
COVID-19 is an alarming issue that is growing like wildfire currently and causing considerable consequences to individuals with its recent emerging cases that are too upsetting for all Pakistanis.
According to sources, Pakistan recently recorded more than 3,000 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, a 45.5 percent increase from the previous day, and daily infections may likely surpass 3,000 within a few weeks.
Approximately, 3.019 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, compared to 2,074 on Wednesday. Unsurprisingly, the positive rate has risen to 6.12 percent, up from 4.7 percent the previous day.
Similarly, citizens are gripped by fear as a result of this horrifying and awful disease that is spreading so rapidly.
As a matter of fact, it is my humble request to the concerned authorities to take immediate action in responding to the fresh fifth wave of COVID-19 and find solutions and precautions neccessary such as ensuring the provision of basic resources such as sanitizers as well as implementing specialized protocols and the public need to use surgical masks, keep distances from one another, and use SOPs in order to be saved from this highly infectious disease.
