Keenjhar Lake Thatta
Keenjhar Lake is located in Thatta district of Sindh. It is 122 km away from Karachi and 20 km away from Thatta town. It is the second-largest freshwater lake in Pakistan. It is one of the major sources to provide potable water to people of Karachi. Unfortunately, the lake is being polluted owing to environmental hazards and a fast-rising level of pollution. The majority of the people have stopped using the lake as a large number of fish, birds and animals are found dead. Above all, the condition of the lake itself continues to worsen. It can be used to finish the water crisis in Karachi. I request the Sindh government and relevant authorities to take measures to rid the lake of the pollution as it is the source of clean water for thousands of people.
