The Iran border in Balochistan is extremely valuable to the people of Balochistan; 70 percent of the people’s financial framework is intertwined with this border. There is no other way to earn money in Balochistan, most local men are jobless, homes are running by border exchange but it has been a year typically it is closed, the people of Balochistan are poorer as a result of it and the people are challenging the border closure, but the government and other authorities are not interested in it, especially Makran and other parts of Balochistan have business ties with neighboring Iran in the west of the country.
For many years, the Pakistan-Iran border was open to the public, allowing for easy movement. People used to travel from there to Balochistan, but all of these routes are now closed. Due to unemployment in Balochistan, people crossed the border in search of work, and the Iranian oil trade began there. These massive tankers have been shut down, and while few vehicles are permitted to cross the border only, many vehicles are still not being issued tokens.
Due to the extensive nature of the border, section points are only open in a few places.
As a result of the border closure, Iranian products have become more expensive in Panjgur, Turbat, Gwadar, and other areas of Balochistan. The situation in these areas is deteriorating day by day as a result of poverty.
The conditions in these areas are deteriorating day by day as a result of deprivation. I appeal to authorities to take notice of this situation.
