Gender Discrimination in our Country
Gender Discrimination in our Country
Gender inequality is the social process by which men and women have not been treated as equal or unequal treatment and the perception of individuals based on gender. Pakistan has been ranked the second-worst country in the world for gender inequality. Gender inequality has always been a major problem in our country for many years. In addition to that, gender discrimination begins as early as the time of birth. Girls face restrictions throughout every stage of their life being unable to make independent decisions regarding the way they dress to being able to obtain an education.
Furthermore, there is a common belief that males are superior to females, and families are considered unlucky when a girl is born. Sometimes, they are unacceptable in society and are often killed before birth. However, the Freedom of Marriage is not given to them and their dreams are buried as the name of early Marriage which is abolishing the beautiful days of innocent children. Women have been struggling to win recognition of their rights.
They have been subjected to discrimination and tyranny ever since and even today, in this so-called modern era, they are deprived of their many rights, but Islam holds a fundamental principle that women are also a human being, equal to men and has equal rights. As well in the last charter (Constitution ) of Human rights, it was present that” women are placed at an equal level with men. Do treat your women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers”.Most importantly, no nation can rise to the level of glory unless your women are side by side with you. I was a part of this monstrous society expressed that we are the victim of evil customs and it is a crime against humanity that our women are shut up within the four walls of the houses as a prisoner. There is no sanction anywhere for the deplorable condition in which our women have to live.
Therefore, you should take your women along with you as comrades in every sphere of life. Thus, it’s my deep-rooted request to all of you to treat them equally and let them live the way they want.
