The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom Pakistan has initiated the second phase of the DigiSkills Training Program (DSTP 2.0) with the support of Ignite. The platform has the objective of preparing 1 million freelancers throughout the country.
Registration for this next phase first Batch will begin on the 7th of January and will last until the 31st of January, according to a media release from the platform.
The batch would have a maximum of 250,000 free seat allocations. All seats would be allocated on a first-come, first-served arrangement. Everyone interested in taking free online courses for 3 months should try to register themselves as soon as the registration portal opens on the DigiSkills website and the mobile application.
“Obviously, if the total allocated spaces are full before the said period, enrollments will then be shut, and no additional seats will be offered,” the press release stated.
After registering themselves, students must make sure that they are enrolled in two programs of their choosing. It should be noted that for first-timers, enrollment in the Freelancing course is made mandatory. Meanwhile, everyone has the free option for selecting the 2nd course of their own preference.
In addition, participants from prior phases batches are also eligible to participate in phase II of the said training program. They can enroll in whatsoever two programs of their preference as Freelancing isn’t mandatory for them.
The first round of lectures will be available on DigiSkills platform on the 1st of February 2022 onwards. Course durations are 3 months and after completing the course, the enrolled learners would be provided with e-certificates.
