Ek Thi Marium (Movie Review)
Some Pakistani films are super winners when trying to highlight historical events and personalities. One of the most heartfelt movies made in Pakistan is “Ek Thi Marium,” written by Humira Ahmed, Faizan Imtiaz is the Editor and produced by Nina Kashif.

Ek Thi Marium Story
The film, moreover, is dedicated to the Pakistan’s first female martyred flying officer, ‘Marium Muktiar’. Sanam Baloch excels in her role as playing her character.
It all starts with a happy family of a few members who care about each other’s wellbeing. Marium, who has wished to be a flying officer since he was a child, as she grew older, she is sent into an engineering university by her parents.
Unfortunately, she is unable to give her all because it was not her preferred career path. After one term of engineering, she finally expresses her desire to choose her preferred career path in front of her parents. Her father is indeed adamant that she should not join the air force since it is extremely hard. But Maruim was willing to go to any length to realize her dream.
With her parents’ help, she quickly qualified for PAF, finishing first in both the test and the viva. When she went to training, they assigned her very difficult tasks in the first term. Maruim felt she had chosen the wrong profession because of the timespan of these challenging activities simultaneously.
When she wants to give up, her mother motivates her by telling her that it was her own choice. She goes on to explain that you are now not only my daughter but also the daughter of the soil. She takes the full courage of her parents as she walks toward her destination and her dream.
In the end, she gives her life for her country. She was mentally prepared for such hardship and received “Thamgai Rasalath” for her bravery. She made the whole country proud.
The film captivates everyone with its lesson and inspires all parents to sacrifice their ‘Maruim’ for their country.
