Child marriage in Balochistan
The issue of child marriage in Balochistan is just because of being uneducated and it’s the lack of awareness. People don’t know the bad impacts of child marriage on society. Child marriage is the main cause of the growing population. A child whose job is to study, learn and observe the world but, In early age, a child can’t take that many responsibilities of marriage. According to research in Pakistan, 70 percent of girls’ marriages are being fixed before the age of 16. Which is one of the most common reasons for the increase of death rate in women during delivery. Child marriage is a global issue that relates to the marriages of boys and girls under the age of 18.
In Pakistan, more than 50 percent of marriages are solemnized before the age of 18, which are mostly of girls. The rate of child marriage is raising in Pakistan, mostly in rural areas. According to a report, 6 million girls suffer from the threat of underage marriages worldwide, and in Pakistan, 35 percent of females become mothers before the age of 18. In Balochistan, the majority of people live in tribal societies, where children are forced to marry early and without their consent.
It’s a humble request to the parents of children and the government, there should be programs, seminars, campaigns, and welfare organisations to guide people to stop children marriages at an early age.
