Cancer ends many smiles
Since several years ago, Balochistan has been suffering from a number of dangerous diseases which are becoming the reason for taking our precious smiles. Cancer is one among them as it has ravaged many lives in Balochistan.
According to reports, there were 10,924 cancer patients in Quetta from 1998 to 2009. From 2014 to 2017, 10,000 cases were reported in the city, most of which were cases of women with breast cancer. The number of people affected by different cancer diseases like Skin cancer, Leukemia, Obesity, Chemotherapy, Skin cancer (melanoma), and many more. Moreover, in Balochistan cancer patients are visiting the nearest city of Pakistan Karachi for treatment because yet there is a lack of medical facilities in Balochistan.
Balochistan with an unfortunate poverty survival can not afford the treatment expenses as according to experts 1.5 million is required for initial treatment and 20 million for the complete treatment.
Recently the Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Quetta and announced that he will build a cancer hospital for Balochistan. But yet the action has not been taken by PM Imran khan. So, it is a humble request to PM Imran Khan to kindly begin the work process, provide a cancer hospital in Balochistan. It is crucial and most needed here by us.
