Sony Pictures’ ‘Anyone But You’, released in theatres on 21st December, is trending very well at the US Box Office weeks after the initial release. The R-rated romcom, starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney in lead roles, has maintained its No. 1 position for three consecutive days (Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday) at the Box Office, grossing over $1 million dollars on its 3rd Wednesday.
The film was only title to reach the $1 million mark on Wednesday despite there being biggies like ‘Wonka’, and ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’.
With a cumulative total of $47.27 million in the domestic market, made on a budget of about $25 million, the movie is definitely on track for a run of $70M-100M.
‘Wonka’ and ‘Aquaman 2’ Stay Below $1M Mark
On the other hand, the number 2 on the Box Office collection chart is Timothée Chalamet’s musical hit ‘Wonka’, grossing $785k on its 4th Wednesday.
Despite a harsh drop of -75.1% from the previous Wednesday, it has reached a cumulative total of $167.14 million in the US, aiming for a $210+ final run .
The superhero biggie ‘Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom, another Warner Bros. distribution, has also fallen below the $1M mark, grossing just $680k on its 3rd Wednesday.
With a gross $102.41 million in the US Box Office till this Wednesday, the Jason Momoa and Amber Heard starrer is now eyeing a $125M-135M final gross.
Meanwhile, ‘The Color Purple, also distributed by Warner Bros., grossed $370k on its 3rd Wednesday, with a total gross of $55.64 million dollars so far, the musical drama is projected to have a $65M-75M run in the US, a way below number considering the $100 million budget.
